The hotel is a local, central
hotel with simple but very clean and comfortable rooms. We had a small balcony looking out on the town square. The lady on reception was extremely friendly, welcoming and very helpful answering questions. There were a number of good restaurants just up the street. The bed was large and comfortable and we slept well.
This traditional townhouse hotel is located in the historic heart of Ribadeo, on Galicia’s northern coast. It is 400 metres from the marina, and Las Catedrales Beach is nearby.

A lovely hotel with the kindest, most helpful host.
The host explained to me that the day I arrived was a local public holiday (Galician Literature Day) and gave me a map, pointing out which shops would be open on the holiday. When I said I wanted to go to Playa de Catedrales he looked up the low tide times, booked me a taxi because low tide was too early for the bus, and explained when and where to get a bus back. Finally, he had breakfast prepared for me (at no additional cost) so I could leave early on Sunday morning - with thermoses of hot coffee and hot milk (to make cafe con leche), freshly squeezed orange juice, croissant, and homemade bizcocho. Just a great way to start the final week of my Camino.
Next to Ribadeo's Porcillan Harbour, this restored historic building offers a café-bar and free Wi-Fi. The colourful rooms at this family-run hotel have a balcony, minibar. Each room at Hotel A.G.

This is a fabulous and beautifully restored property. The rooms features exposed brickwork and everything was sparkling and the beds super comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities and a good breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Ideally situated on the banks of Ribadeo's river and estuary, this hotel is located above the area's sailing club and boasts a heated saltwater pool and hot tub. Admire excellent views over the water....

Beautiful room, fantastic view and professional treatment at the reception. Shame I didn’t get his name, but, thank you! You made our stay unforgettable!
In a peaceful, tranquil setting, just 800 metres from the very centre of Ribadeo, the hotel offers comfortable accommodation in a convenient location, with good road access.
Everything was perfect, clean, wifi worked properly.
Set on the northern coast of Galicia, close to the beach and the banks of the Ribadeo Estuary, the Santa Cruz is a value-for-money option in a lovely, tranquil location.
Ribadeo is a small seaside town. Very quiet this time of the year. Easy to walk around but the town itself could be difficult for wheelchair users or people with visual or walking difficulties. Several of the footpaths are quite narrow and the kerbs are up to 30cm in height in some places. However outside the town centre, walkers should not experience any difficulties.
People are friendly and helpful. I speak some Spanish and Portuguese, and found I could manage Gallego, the local dialect, which is similar to Portuguese. This is just as well as very few people can speak more than a few words of English. I noticed that most of the reviews were from Spanish people.
You can take a local bus or walk on a boardwalk about an hour east to Praia Catedrais (Cathedral Beach), where there are spectacular rock formations where the sea has eroded the coastline. Some parts are inaccessible at high tide and there are clear signs warning that you will be fined at least €6,000 if they have to rescue you!
This time of the year, Ribadeo would be an ideal place to visit if you are looking for a nice quiet holiday.

The bedding ( pillows) could be better.
All restaurants on site were offering only drinks and because of Sunday all the kitchens were closed

The friendliness of the population has to be experienced to believe it. Not a huge town but plenty happening there. Shops and bars abound and a short walk/drive down to the sea front with restaurants to enjoy the array of fish dishes.

My first visit to Northern Spain...
My first visit to Northern Spain... Galicia, and what an absolute gem. I shouldn't really write a review as is it's not full of tourists and I like it that way!!
Amazing, rugged coastline with fantastic walkways, great for walkers but also caravanners are well catered for there... it's a touring sort of place.
Was hard to find breakfast (?) and no lunch before 1pm, nor dinner before 9pm, so plan well!!
Loved it and popped in to some charming nearby towns, no names, find your own unique way....enjoy!
Hired a car from the airport, was very cheap :)

Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities.
Ribadeo is a town with all usual amenities. It has an estuary with Sea port and leisure port with waterside walks. Perhaps the main attraction is its proximity to the magnificent 'Playa des Cathedrals' a magnificent beach with numerous rock arches formed by the sea.
I happened to stay here and it the Albergue Ribadeo a Ponte, which gets much better reviews on booking than this one. However, I believe they are owned by the same person and they are run in a similar way. I personally preferred Rio Eo - it seemed slightly more clean and most beds in my room had curtains, which is really nice. So, I don’t think it deserves a worse rating.
check-in was very easy and there was someone around during the check-in hours.
Chef owned restaurant and small hotel (4 rooms). hotel rooms were modern; bed really comfortable. we had the tasting menu at dinner by Javier Montero who was previously at Michelin starred restaurants. It was incredible. The property is just a the outskirts of a charming small town. Delightful to take a walk about the harbor and explore. We were treated like family guests.
This was a really exceptional hotel. Not only is it very well located - right on the Camino Del Norte, but you are mere steps from the waterfront and only a few minutes walk to the center of town.
The couple that own it are so friendly and helpful that it really made the stay a delight. Also, the breakfast can’t be beat! Delicious!
I highly recommend it.
Very friendly and supportive hosts. I made a mistake with the reservation dates, but it was not an issue and was solved in a minute. English wasn’t it a problem at all. Nice clean big rooms nice bathroom. The property is close to the downtown core but in a very very quiet zone just minutes away from downtown. It’s very underrated on booking.com
When I first walked into the room I was thrilled, thinking "YES" this is what every hotel room should look like. It has everything here, great location too. A must if you are on the Camino. The inclusive breakfast is incredible.
A lovely 3 bedroom house to rent at a reasonable price, with fully fenced garden ideal for taking your dog on holiday with you.
Within walking distance of the lively town of Ribadeo.with its many restaurants and bars.
Cute little roadside hotel with a lovely garden and other facilities that are probably nice to use in the summer. Room is pretty standard motel. Clean and comfortable. Cafe and restaurant across the street.
The innkeepers are great! Did everything to make our stay pleasant. The property is in a great location, and it is exceptionally clean. We’ll stay there again, when we return to explore Ribadeo.
Great location, easy access to all of Ribadeo's many restaurants, a 15-minute walk to the harbor/marina area, very nice staff, many conveniences. The nicest cafe of all of the cities we visited.
We had a great time, Beautiful house with a lot of charm, very clean, spacious, comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, good breakfast buffet, well located, parking near the hotel
An excellent hotel in the centre of Ribadeo. The reception lady was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. The double room was, spacious and well appointed. Outstanding value for money.
