Biggin Hall Hotel is a 3 star AA rated historic Grade II listed house of 17th Century origin with an AA awarded 1 rosette restaurant. It is set within 8 acres of grounds. The property is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park, 1,000 feet above sea level, in peaceful open countryside. We travelled to Derbyshire to visit chatworth house and booked at the hotel very last minute. We was very impressed with how we were welcomed on our arrival by very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and we were provided with a free bottle of beer and Prosecco which was a nice surprise. We also didn’t expect to receive a free packed lunch to take with us even though we only stayed for one night.

Sladen Lodge is situated in Hathersage, 15 km from Chatsworth House, 23 km from FlyDSA Arena, and 25 km from Buxton Opera House. This country house features free private parking and a housekeeping service. The country house has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Sladen Lodge is a wonderful property, and Lynne was a fantastic host. It’s located close to the center of Hathersage, and there’s a ton to do in the area. Lynne was very accommodating when I arrived early, and she has great restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable, and the lodge itself was tranquil and peaceful.

Chatsworth House is located 25.7 km away from Dannah Farm Country House, while Alton Towers is 35.5 km away. It’s a beautiful, extremely well-maintained property with excellent hospitality. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Joan is a fabulous host and she works very hard to keep all the guests happy. Dannah Farm Country House is the perfect blend of luxury and homeliness. Our suite came with a private sauna and a massive hot tub, bedroom with four poster bed, dining area and lounge. The attention to detail in each room was amazing. The breakfast is delightful, made with fresh ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to get back soon.

Set in the beautiful Dovedale Valley, The Izaak Walton is a 17th-century hotel with spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside, known for its fishing streams, a log fireplace in the front hotel lounge and an additional log fireplace with traditional oak beamed ceilings in the Bar area. Location and beauty, right in the middle of many walks in the Peak District. Would have stayed longer but a storm arrived the same day I did. Very classy place.
