I had an amazing time staying in Porto Santo Destination hostel! It was so calm and quiet, perfect space to wind down and especially during low season you get the ultimate perk of having basically no people at the beaches ;) Sofia the host was super friendly and helpful... couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Nice kitchen and facilities! Just keep in mind that you have to do groceries etc in the centre, as there's only a small restaurant around (which is cheap and good though). And it's a different island than Madeira itself, not everyone may know this ;)

Everything was superb! The location is near the beach, with plenty of nive restaurants nearby. The rooms were big and full of natural light. The common space was well organized, and equipped.

The property is pretty and clean with a large open terrace roof top, fully stocked kitchen and common area, and the room is nice too! It is a "remote access" style guest house as opposed to a "host on site" guest house, and the hosts (and surf instructor) are easy to contact online, friendly and accomodate their guests well!

Santa Maria este un hostel tip boutique cu decor în stil vintage, situat într-o clădire istorică tradițională din orașul vechi din Funchal. Staff were great, location was central, beautiful building! It is right on Rua Santa Maria with lots of restaurants so there is noise, but it's a hum of talking / music so not too difficult to sleep through

Jaca Hostel Funchal se află în Funchal, la 9 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Almirante Reis, și include o grădină, un bar și vedere la mare. Highly recommend staying here. We stayed in a private room and it was beautiful, clean and spacious and also, very quiet at night so we slept peacefully! Great, central location on a quiet street. Also the breakfast was incredible. The best we had in Madeira and one of the best we've had anywhere!! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Madeira! The staff were super friendly and helpful too. Thanks Jaca Hostel team for taking such good care of us!
